The DC Universe Classics figures explore the entire age and universe of the DC Comic legacy. At this point in time, action figures out-price comic books by 2/3. This particular figure "Sinestro Batman" is not familiar to me; I am very well educated in the DC Universe. I would be considered a really big nerd in fact. There was a point where Batman, at one point DID have a green lantern ring. However, he discarded it as it was too powerful.
This figure is unique because (as far as I know) there was never a point in time where Batman had a Sinestro ring. This figure carries the value of intrigue and mystery, it's also really cool. Very durable, nicely crafted and fun to play with. I collect these figures with my six year old son... we play "Justice League" with them and Sinestro Batman makes an occasional guest appearance.
If I had to choose which figures I DEFINITELY HAD TO HAVE. THIS is one of them. Get it before the price skyrockets.

DC Universe Classics Yellow Lantern Batman is an oddity. A yellow ring tried to get him to join the Sinestro Corp due to his ability to instill fear in his enemies but he is the Batman after all and used his will to resist. Still a Batman with Yellow Ring powers would be something.
For Kids:
While he is Batman he's a weird looking one. He does come with an accessory. I'm putting it on the medium to low side only because there are many way cooler looking Batman toys out there.
For Adults:
Just a word on the package... I think it is cool that the character description text on back is covered and obscured by a large Sinestro Corp symbol. It's kind of a meta thing to do symbolizing that at this point the yellow ring has taken over.
His body is a normal DCU Batman body - muscular, spiked wrist gauntlets, cape and cowl. The face is in what is supposed to be a scary grimace but really isn't that menacing. He may need to go potty.
The paint is not as clean as normal with the edges of the yellow a bit on the fuzzy side. Although the symbol on his chest is nice and clean. Unfortunately this color scheme does not work. "Hey Batman in your black suit, you are one of the scariest individuals on Earth. Join the Sinestro Corp and we'll upgrade you to a yellow clown suit. Trust us... It's scary as heck on other planets." Yeah, it really looks goofy on him with yellow boots, gauntlets and the jester like yellow detail on the torso.
Articulation includes ball neck - although most of the motion is side to side - ball and pin shoulders, pin biceps and elbows and cut wrists. An ab crunch and cut waist, universal hip joints, cut thighs and pin knees and ankles.
He's got the little collector pin and piece of Validus. He also has a large yellow energy construct Baterang that fits on his fist.
The cool touch on the package notwithstanding this is not my favorite figure and I wanted to like it. The face is goofy, paint is a bit sloppy and the color scheme of the suit is goofy. I understand that's the character design they had to work with but it's still a goofy character design. Like I said, there are lots of cooler Batmen out there - this is just a lesser variant.
Vailidus is an evil mindless beast - which is funny since his brain is right there popping out of his head - although his is a bit of a sad story. He's about 9 inches tall with a big beefy body. There is something oddly scary about his "unfinished" look - no eyes, exposed brain, three fingers on each hand and two toes on each foot. Add in the roaring blackness of his mouth and he's a bit of a nightmare. The brain is well sculpted and under a clear window of plastic that is sculpted to match the brain which gives an interesting effect. He's got enough joints to pose well and sports a simple but effective purple, white and black outfit. Truly a nice addition to the ranks of the DCU build a figures. At least 4 ½ stars on him.
