Great, well made action figure Jun 06, 2011

Though I do wish I could remove his helmet, I have no other complaints about this action figure. The face really looks like Tom Hiddleston and the figure is very easy to pose and stands on his own without falling. He's really very sturdy. The costume is very detailed. There was no stand included, though it was mentioned on the package. Overall, I think they did a great job. He's about 8" tall, which is a really good height - not too tall and not too small. If you loved Loki in the Thor movie, you will most likely agree, this is a very flattering action figure.

I ordered this from another seller on Amazon, but it is still the same figure, so I'll review him here anyway.
I love my new Loki! I don't plan on ordering Thor, however, so the little Heimdall sword thingy will just sit next to him on my bookshelf where this Loki (along with other Lokis) will have a place of honor! I tried to get Loki to hold the sword in his other hand, but he was having none of it, so I just put the sword in its base and put it next to him. He is very flexible and jointed and could be played with like a real action figure or doll if you planned to do that. I just collect Loki figures, however, so he'll just sit on my bookshelf and be admired. Tom Hiddleston is my new favorite actor, also. As for educational value, there really isn't any. The only reason I gave it two stars even is because his name is Loki and it might get children asking about Norse mythos and they might learn something that way. Other than that, its just an action figure to be admired or played with (GENTLY! Loki doesn't like it rough!)
I have ordered Sorceror Fury Loki and plan on placing him next to this Loki. This Loki is taller and it'll look funny, but I love Sorceror Fury Loki's model so much. The blue is awesome.
They did amazing with details on this guy, however. The horns, the striking likeness to Tom Hiddleston...just awesome. I read the Loki comics and he doesn't really look like that Loki, but he's not meant to, and I'm still loving him. <3 Loki and Mr. Hiddleston for playing him so well.
The seller I ordered my Loki from sent Loki packaged in his original packaging and that packaging included the Bifrost sword and the thing to stick the Bifrost sword in, but again, like many have said, no circular base. The thing to stick the sword in stands up well enough and will just sit next to Loki once I have him all set up.

I am a huge fan of Tom Hiddleston and his character Loki. I was really pleased to see that they modeled this toy after the actor and it truly looks like him. The color is lovely and it really does appear to be a collectable, something meant to be admired. The limbs are flexible, arms, elbows, knees and feet, and the head also moves. The helmet and cape are NOT detachable so what you see is what you get. I have to say that I am impressed, and he is propped at my work station where people are very intrigued and how realistic he is. Well done Marvel!
No Stand as Indicated - But Great Action Figure! Mar 20, 2012

The Amazon.com description reads "Ships with a display stand based on the mythical rainbow bridge of Asgard" but there is no display stand. However, the figure stands on its own. It is well made with great detail and I am happy with my purchase.

So I just got mine, it came on time which is great! Lovely figure from what I can tell. Very large and detailed (which is good, I absolutely love Tom Hiddleston!), and that's just from observing it while it's still in the box! Everything's all here. It's a good size, and like I said, very lovely detail. Looks just like Tom does in the movie, and I'm glad it's not broken or missing pieces. Great buy.

I did remove him from the box, he's a bit hard to stand up on his own unless you have the twin Thor figure with the base. I still don't know what's the deal with the base between the two figures, but the package comes with Loki, his staff, and Heimdall's sword I believe? I think so, it's the sword Heimdall has in the movie that he uses to open the Bifrost. It comes with the sword and the little stand he'd put it in. I admit the sword's a bit useless without the other half of the stand which comes with the Thor action figure. Nonetheless, it's pretty cool I guess.
Loki, who is now ruling my house from atop a shelf, is very detailed and the joints aren't too bad. I wouldn't recommend for playing though, he doesn't move well enough for much playing. Maybe light playing, but I wouldn't recommend buying it for a toy for a child. Great collector's item
Note that the cape and the helmet are both NOT removable. The staff, however, is easily removable.
All and all: Great price, great shipping, great figure. Recommended for both Loki and Hiddleston fans, but not recommended for playing or small children.
5 stars for all points, including educational value. On the back of the box it has some somewhat brief but well written background on Loki and everything. It's a bit hard to rate this for educational value, but I believe if I showed this to some small children they'd be asking about it who he is, etc. Could be a fun learning tool, methinks
