Being a big fan of Phineas and Ferb, particularly Perry the Platypus, I was EXTREMELY excited when my Mom send me my very own stuffed Perry! (We had seen Phineas and Ferb plushes in the Disney store - where they commented that Perry had sold out within hours). Quickly after I got Perry, I loved him! While I was somewhat disappointed he was in his household pet-mode self, he's still just as lovable! (Besides - he couldn't be Agent P with people around - could he?) The sound he makes is amazing, always entertains myself and roommates. I'm a little disappointed that his batteries are not replaceable, but I'm not too worried about his voice dying on me.
I don't know about the $40 price tag, as I'm almost my mother paid less than that for mine, but Perry the Platypus is definitely a fun, adorable, and extremely huggable toy for kids of all ages (and even those college students who still want to be kids.)

Unfortunately I did not learn about the talking Perry doll until long after the mad rush which left it almost impossible to find, even online. When I found out that Amazon had 2 left, I had to buy em, even if they were ridiculously expensive. Yes its just a plush doll that makes a noise, but my family are huge fans of the show and the look on their faces was worth it! Also, Perry is awesome, and so is the chattering noise he makes when you squeeze his foot. 100% WIN.

My nephew is 4 an adores Phineas & Ferb. He was disappointed that Perry is not in secret agent form but other than that, he sleeps with it every night and every morning you hear, 'Good Morning Perry' followed by the noise Perry makes. I was shocked to see the price here as we purchased ours from Disney online for a lot less. It is definitely worth purchasing if you and your family is a Perry fan.

I bought this toy for my husband for Valentine's day and he loves it. Too bad our children confiscated it very quickly! The product is great. It is Perry the Platypus in his pet disguise. He makes the noise as in the show. The animal is really soft and fun to play with and is the perfect size. I would definitely recommend this toy, but not at the $39 amazon price. Go directly to the disney online store and get it for $17 plus shipping.

My 2 1/2 year old daughter loves it and carries it around with her all the time. Often squeezing the front leg to get it to make the signature chattering sound when she wants to have a conversation with it. It is soft and comfortable to sleep with, a good purchase for fans! Note, this toy does not change into the secret agent version.
