Wonderful figure. Exact detail to the character in a great game. Our daughter loves Garnet (alias Dagger in the game) and she was very happy to have her. The figure is fragile, so care must be taken, but she is a careful girl! The staff is heavy and it is hard to make her stand without falling. She comes with a collector's stand but our little girl is not going to use that, so no worries. All in all, we are very happy with her. She looks great. The facial expression is PERFECT!
Update on durability: gave it another star: not as fragile as I believed. yes, we had a leg-pop-off but it snapped in perfectly with no degradation of movement. My daughter has made this her favorite toy and has handled it every day for almost two months.

This action figure is so beautiful, very well done. It is my favorite play arts figure to date. (I have a few that I just started collecting, including Zidane, Aerith, Tidus, FFX-2 Yuna, etc.) Garnet is a great character from the awesome FFIX, and I feel that the game as well as its characters seem to be underrated. When you look at videos and collections of FF figures, it seems that the FFIX figures are not as popular as those from VII, VIII, and X. However, I think the FFIX figures, and especially this one, are just as great. This figure is very detailed, from her hair, necklace, and all the way to her boots. I love the facial expression of this one, she looks at ease and determined, I thought it resembled her character from the game very well. The red boots are very pretty, their design is a bit different from other play arts figures' shoes, and you can even make adjustments there, but they do seem to be a bit small, thus making Garnet a little harder to pose and stand than the other play arts figures. It wasn't a big issue since there are many points of articulation, I just moved her upper torso around so that she can be balanced. You must put her weapon on before posing her though, because the weight of the weapon will make her fall forward. Also, due to the skinny legs and small boots, I would not suggest moving the joints too hard just in case. But overall, this figure does look great, and it does seem durable. It fits great standing next to the Zidane figure (it's almost as tall as Zidane). This is a great addition to an action figure collection, or even standing on its own.

The figure has solid joints but Garnet has an awkward weight balance which makes it more difficult to try to pose her while holding her weapon. This is more the fault of the staff having so much weight to it. Her staff is much heavier then Vivi's.
Pros: Very accurate sculpt.
Cons: Staff is too heavy making it harder for her to stand up while holding it.
