 A well done, but slightly delicate, figure Jul 22, 2010

The Snow Villiers Play Arts -KAI- figurine is exactly as described. 10 inches tall (2 inches taller than the original Play Arts), and more joints with extra joints in the elbows, knees and torso. Those big coat tails of his are pose-able, but on my individual figure, the left one has a tendency to pop off. His head has limited movement due to his large, upturned collar, but otherwise, all joints operate correctly and allow for a wide variety of poses. The paint is well done; tiny details like his stubble and his shoelaces are marvelous. The accompanying clear stand is much easier to handle than those of the Play Arts figures, but is too weak for jumping poses.

For long I have been a fan of play arts and play arts kai are even better than the original line up of figures. They are more durable,detailed and alike to the actual characters in the game. This Snow play arts kai arrived my mail a lot faster than the estimated shipping, It arrived 13 days early and I'm not even that close to where it came from!
As for the Snow play arts kai: It's a great action figure very articulated,detailed and alike the actual character. The only bad thing which i consider a very minimal little problem is that in my case, my snow play arts kai has a stiff left arm in the area of rotation though it's barely an annoyance and it doesn't take away quality. For any of you who plan to buy this figure it's an excellent choice! =D
Why my five star rating in each area?
1"How much fun is this toy?" 5 starts, it's a lot of fun and I think so even without being a kid so imagine how much fun a kid would have with one of these (now be careful the play arts kai is not for all ages)
2"How would you rate this toy's educational value?" 5 starts, for those with an artistic point of view this figure is an excellent example of improvement in craftsmanship thus educating you of how one can improve in such details. Some people like to design their own action figures so this can work as inspiration.
3."How durable is this toy? " 5 stars, the main problem with the original line up of play arts was that the figures where very fragile. One of the reasons play arts kai was made was to fix this problem. The snow action figure is great.
4. 'How do you rate this toy overall?" 5 stars, cause of the same reasons i explain before.

Pros: Sturdy construction. Nice flexible rubbery clothing and good articulation.
Cons: The Kai figures are larger then the older Play arts figures so they don't scale well with the older ones.

Being a fan of Final Fantasy I have most of Play Arts action figures. He comes with another change of hands, and they're easy to switch. His trench coat moves so he can sit down or crouch. He can even be posed into one of his action poses from the game. He also comes with a clear stand, so it doesn't take away from the figure. Another thing I've notice is that he's taller than the other play arts figures. So, if you don't mind a tall action figure (close to the size of a barbie doll) then he is worth buying!
