2As a die-hard MGS fan, even I can't really recommend these..  Jun 04, 2008 By Lode Sword
For what Medicom charges for their figures, one would THINK their products would be durable and of high quality. I own both the Solid Snake figure and the Big Boss figure, and neither one of them are really worth purchasing (check out my review for the Big Boss figure..the complaints are virtually the same).

Without carefully leaning him up against another object, he CANNOT balance on his own. Even if you manage to balance Snake by himself, DON'T LOOK AT HIM. Don't change any channels with your remote control, or butter toast. He'll fall over. I had to fashion little stands out of modeling clay to maintain his balance, and even those don't help as much as I wish they would.

The gun and silencer that he is equipped with is very fragile. The plastic that joins the silencer with the gun barrel (it snaps in) friggin' SNAPPED OFF when he leaned into my TV set (did I mention the figure balances poorly?) and barely tapped the side of it! To top that off, the gun doesn't stay securely in his grip, either.

"Nicely articulated" as the Product Feature information states, is a little misleading. Obviously, judging from the picture, one can infer the product is more of a figure statue. I don't know why they described it as such, when you can only raise his arms a few measly degrees and turn his head (or pop it off). I was hoping to have the ability to move his legs, bend his arms, etc.

Despite the many cons of these figures, there are a few pros. The paint job isn't too bad, and the modelers managed to stay true to Snake's outfit with all the extra straps and holsters. And while I don't fully agree with a previous reviewer about Snake's face, his features aren't BAD, but they could be a little better (his facial hair is a bit too bright). The price is far more economical to those die-hard Metal Gear Solid fans who couldn't bring themselves to blow their first born child on the grossly overpriced ($100+) 12' inch figures Medicom has been pushing.

All in all, you MAY want to consider examining one of these guys in a store, rather than relying on pictures on the internet before you make a purchase. I really wish NECA or McFarlane had gotten the rights to make these.

This figure is alright. In the pictures it looks badass, but you can't actually play around with snake, and it's in a weird back position stance too. Might as well get a stand for him or he's going to fall down a lot.

1they made him cute X(  Apr 21, 2008 By Aaron Sheridan
this one is bad the pic is lie...first the bandana is down the hair is lighter and the face ooo the face is well CUTE he has big blue eyes his skin has more color like he were using revlon and the look on his face is not the look of a harden grunt but a sad/cute face.....now for the body he has a bad arch in the back like he has a spine problem to top that off no stand ....the head hand and foot are the only things that move thats ok becuase i knew it was statue like.... If you a hardcore snake fan like me or just want a snake figure get a difernt one if you like MGS 2 snake buy the figure came out a while back trust me dont buy this one get the old snake with the mask I hear that one is hot!!
