I got these for my young son because he likes to carry around the figures throughout the day and have pretend play with them. Surprisingly, they haven't held up to basic play. The tiger has lost a leg and his tail. The elephant's trunk broke. My son hasn't been rough with them, we have just found them to be brittle and if there is any pressure put on the limbs, they have been breaking off...

I got these animals for my birthday, and love them so much! They are cute and realistic, and just the right size to play with. This toob contains a zebra, panda bear, a leopard, a hippo, a monkey, a rhino, and alligator, a gorilla, a tiger, a polar bear, and a giraffe. They are very durable and fun!

My kids really like these little animals. I also gave them away as birthday treats, and used them as birthday cake decorations. But the kids just loved playing with them.

Animals are MUCH smaller than i thought when I ordered them.
I'll put them away until my daughter is a little older.
Though I'm sure, somewhere in the product description it said how small they were, the entire tube of animals is only about 10" long.
Animals are too small for children under 3 years old.

I purchased the safari babies for my almost 3-year old after reading recommendations for them on several parenting blogs. My first thought was "seriously? She will get that much entertainment out of miniature plastic animals?" Then I thought that many recommendations can't be completely wrong, so I ordered them.
I couldn't be more surprised and happy with the result. My daughter pretend-plays with them every day. In the bath, in bed, in her play kitchen, in the car, everywhere. She absolutely loves them! She already knew the names of each of the animals, but they have definitely fostered her creativity as she has developed personalities and voices for each of them as they go on adventures around the house. We have had the safari babies for about six weeks now, and she has not tired of them like she has many of her toys that light up or make noise. This has been the best purchase for the money I have made since Christmas. I highly recommend this product!
