| | Description | The Rebels establish their new base on Hoth, a world of snow and ice where daytime temperatures are bone chilling and nighttime temperatures are deadly. Rebel patrols riding indigenous tauntauns venture into the freezing landscape to guard the base's perimeter. On one of these routine patrols, Luke is captured by a wampa ice creature, one of the planet's most vicious predators. The carnivorous wampa hunts its prey with stealth in spite of its size. Perfectly hidden by its white fur in the snowy Hoth landscape, the ice creature sneaks up on Luke and renders the unsuspecting Rebel unconscious with one swipe its massive hand. The wampa drags Luke back to its ice cave and suspends him from the ceiling, planning to make the Jedi its next meal. Only Luke's skill with the Force saves him from an untimely end: he uses the Force to retrieve his lightsaber, which enables him to free himself from the ice and escape from the wampa. | |

I wouldn't give this a five star rating because the wampa's right arm comes off. It's supposed to,but it's really hard to get back on.And good luck on trying to get Luke Skywalker on the tauntaun! And sometimes Luke Skywalker's lightsaber blade will fall of.

have you never seen the movie? Jul 10, 2011
By Evan luke skywalker's tauntaun doesn't open cause it was han's tauntaun that got cut open. luke's tauntaun was getting chomped on by the wampa. c'mon people!
Wampa good, tauntaun less so Oct 07, 2011
By Enjolras This Wampa is a BIG improvement over the POTF2 version. The paint scheme has more dirt and and blood. The upper torso is actually quite articulated, allowing the Wampa to turn and crouch over. The base is pretty cool as well for Hoth dioramas. However, even this guy is over 8 years old and could us an update. I'm particularly puzzled by the use of soft plastic for the legs. This feature sometimes makes the Wampa difficult to stand up.
Perfect for young Star Wars fans Dec 31, 2010
By Cindy from Indy After watching The Empire Strikes Back (Episode V), my 4-year old son developed an interest in the 'Wampa' creature and the particular sequence of events surrounding it, so he decided this was the Star Wars set he wanted the most. The Wampa creature comes with a bloody slab of meat, which to me is disgusting, but it's true to the movie. There are a few small parts that are hard for him to manipulate, so I help him with those. He absolutely loves this set. Based on previous reviews, I haven't tried to remove the arm from the Wampa yet, but I'm sure my son will figure out soon that it is able to be removed. Both the Wampa and the Tauntaun are heavier and sturdy. The Luke Skywalker figure is smaller and fits into other Star Wars vehicles.
Hoth Patrol Dec 29, 2010
By cousin eddy Purchased pack for young son who loves Star Wars. Knew ahead of time that Ton Ton did not open up like the old school ones but bought anyway thinking that figure's legs would somehow wrap around saddle. This is not the case. Ton Ton is useless as a riding toy for Star Wars action figures. Further more the Skywalker figure that came with the pack does not have the swivle arms or legs...Really?!?! Kid still loves it though, so it's all good
