Finally found the battery compartment! Jan 09, 2011
By Bodie's Mom How incredibly frustrating! The instructions do not tell you where the battery compartment is. I had to google it -- turn the toy upside and there is a barrel shaped surface between the two rear legs with one screw. My 5-yr. old son just opened this for his birthday present and seems to enjoy playing with it, but struggles to open the hatch, and the legs do tend to fall off if you're not being gentle. Not sure it was worth $40. Luke Skywalker is sold separately too.

Wish the legs wouldn't fall off! Sep 22, 2010
By Missy Brighton Would have given a higher rating if it weren't for the frustrated screams from my five year old when the legs fall off and he can't put them back on. (The legs have numbers on them, so when I pointed that out, it was easier for him to reassemble them himself). Also, don't expect it to really "walk" on it's own. Still, the secret compartments and trap doors are a huge hit. You may want to make sure you have a couple of other Galactic Hero figures around - my son went running to find another action figure since the guy it comes with doesn't fit so well in the driver's seat.

Great Looking Toy, horrible battery life. Oct 09, 2010
By Mark The toy is very cool, and my 3 year old son loves it, but the batteries stay in use if the switch is not turned off. There are no noises of lights, it just drains. The Falcon version of this toy has an auto shut-off that saves batteries. So if you forget to flip the switch once you are done playing with it (like any 3 year old would forget), then expect to replace the batteries on a daily basis.

Too awful to believe!! Jan 18, 2011
By ginogems Worse then some of the bad reviews. I read in some of the reviews that the legs fall off but on the one we received the legs would not even snap in! My nephew really wanted this toy so we thought he might be able to tolerate putting the legs back on once in awhile. But they never fell out because we could never get them on! Either the receiver sockets were defective or they assembled it with the wrong sockets. We had five adults looking at this and they all were amazed that such a simple thing as snapping in legs could be a problem. If you buy this product do not do what we did. We gave it wrapped to the child and he was very upset that he had to give it back to us to return. Assemble it first to ensure that it can be done otherwise your child will be looking sadly at an AT-AT that makes some neat noises but has no legs.

New Galactic Hero Toy- Aug 11, 2010
By TBlach I bought this toy for my son's 5th birthday as he is a Star Wars nut! It's a great toy to add to his growing Galactic Hero collection. I will say that the legs aren't as sturdy as I though they would be. They do fall off. They go back on easily but wanted to note it in my review. We have many other Galactic Hero "ships" and we love that series as they are more durable and sturdy.
