Tall and menacing, Darth Vader is the most potent icon of the Galactic Empire's might. Best Vader figure ever. Period. Aug 13, 2009

Not much else to say really... it is the best figure of Vader right now.
Sideshow has been pretty much hit and miss with their 12" SW line, with poor paint application, bad/outdated base bodies, QC issues and poor tailoring appearing with more than expected regularity for high end 12" action figures (a price point Sideshow is rapidly achieving). Still, most of their SW figures are very very nice, and make for a fantastic collection.
Darth Vader, however, is simply amazing! The size is impressive, the solid build and massive nature of the figure make for a commanding display on any shelf. The materials used all seem to be top notch and the tailoring is fantastic. There are some issues with the accuracy of the helmet, but in hand it is negligible. The figure feels very very sturdy and has excellent articulation, although it is a bit hindered by the suit, but so was Dave Prowse...
Any fan of SW owes it to himself to have this figure.

This fully articulated figure of the Lord of the Sith from
Sideshow Collectibles towers above 13-inches and commands a
powerful presence with his exquisitely detailed helmet and
armour based on designs in Episode IV: A New Hope.
Vader comes with 3 extra hands, including one for force choking
your other figures into submission. Notable accessories include
a belt with clasp for his lightsaber,inner robe and leather-like outfit.
Both ignited and unlit sightsabers are included for all poses.
This version of Vader does not feature a removable helmet as its the
'A NEW HOPE' version. So lets hope Sideshow will have the
other versions in their production pipeline.
This is the cream of the entire Star Wars one-sixth scale series from
Sideshow and a definite must-have for all you Star Wars fans.
Now, if only there was sound so he could says his iconic lines like
"Luke, I am your father."

This is quite literally the best Sideshow 12" figure that they have currently made. Sideshow went into extensive research to ensure that all aspects of the figure are an accurate and true representation to the original costume elements used on Vader in the Star Wars movies.
Vader is a very tall figure with great detail on the chest piece and armor sections. Paint applications are all very neat and clean. The lightsaber accessories are perfect and the fabric material holds together well and hangs on the figure very realistically. All of the joints are tight and solid, allowing Vader to assume a number of poses and stances. The packaging is the usual Sideshow style window box with a secondary window section to house the accessories and alternate hands.
Sideshow's Vader is the most accurate and appealing Vader on the market now, completely overshadowing the previous Medicom 12" Vader and displaying much better than even some Vader statues. I would highly recommend purchasing this figure before the price continues to increase.

This has got to be the best Vader figure I have ever gotten my grimely little paws on. From his flowing cape to the multiple gloved hands that he comes with, he is awesome. He looks great on my shelf next to a couple of stormtroopers, towering over them.
