Description

Starscream is a repaint of the Thundercracker mold, featuring a large mechanized display base with Decepticon emblem nameplate. In jet mode, Starscreamâ?TMs design is sharklike, with backswept wings and an accentuated dorsal fin. The amber-hued cockpit bubble is overlapped by a honeycomb design. Robot mode adheres to a more alien design, more or less mingled with the classic Starscream colors. The disposition of his wing plates in robot mode almost gives him an insectoid semblance. Starscream is fueled purely by avarice and ambition, a perfect one-track engine of treachery and betrayal. He serves under Megatron only in the interest of maintaining a staging ground to further his sedition. One of his primary weaknesses exists in his inability to conceal his dissension. He tries to seize power at each shallow opportunity, usually subverting his greater agenda in the process. During the early wars on Cybertron, Starscream practiced his accustomed level of sedition, taking advantage of a Spacebridge mishap in which both Megatron and Prime were displaced and attacking both factions alike with his Predacons.

5Great quality, made to last.  Apr 10, 2007 By Sabey-baby "sug_bean"
My husband has a few toys that have lasted through his childhood and that he's passed onto our boys. I can totally see this toy falling into that catagory for my sons. The die cast toys are a bit more expensive than their plastic counterparts for the same size, but totally worth it, from a mom's point of view. So many of my son's other Transformers have pieces that pop off from time to time, some more so than others, but most show the signs of day to day play by a four year old (I know below the recommended age group) Even those that weren't too bad at first, after a few months of play are starting to loosen and loose pieces more and more often. But this one is great. The only time we've experienced a "pop off" yet is when my son threw (he'll say he was flying) the toy down a flight of stairs. Granted, it landed on carpet, but only the legs popped off. In comparing, as I was reattaching them, to the other's my son has, these felt so much more firm and locked into place. In fact, the first time we transformed Starscream into vehicle mode I was afraid we were going to break it because the "safety pop off" hadn't happened yet. But then I realized that the quality is just that much better and parts don't need to fall off as easily. Like a good skier in nice bindings, these Titanium Die Cast series don't loose their pieces at the slightest bump or even the not so slightest pull. My only complaint is that Starscream's rubber hands and the nose of the plane seem like they may fall off in the future. So far they haven't, but I keep checking just the same. We've decided that all of our future Transformer purchases will be from this series. Our four year old is currently saving his money to replace the much, much cheaper Optimus and Megatron he currently owns with those from this series. I also like the size on this. 6 inches is just about perfect. My son has the huge Cybertron planet thing and it is just too big. Really cool, but too large for a young child to take along and play with much on a regular basis. This one is perfect, more in line with other action figures. I'm no collector and don't know anything about the asthetical differences in Transformer toy series, but as a mom, I say these are the ones to buy.

5Best Titanium series I've seen so far  Oct 23, 2007 By John B. Connor "dragonsandsuch"
This is the fifth Transformer I have bought from the Titanium series and by far the best in regards to quality. While I think they all "look" good, this one is the most sturdy, a very good alternate mode, and does not feel that anything will pop off like on my others. Highly recommended.

5sturdy and creative  Mar 10, 2011 By P. Li
I am a grown-up and I am admitting that I bought this toy for me and my grandson to share. I haven't played with it as much as he has, and, OK, I'll admit also that I refer to the instruction from time to time while he doesn't need it. But this is a toy that is going to last forever and be passed down from generation to generation. It is made of metal. Quite heavy and is virtually indestructible. I feel that this toy is for children from 7 to 70 years old. . .
