Fun but a lot of work Aug 20, 2011

Be prepared to have to set this up over and over again just to have them watch it "chain react" for about 10 sec. My two fortunately learned to reset it themselves over time. I bought several of these last Christmas for my 6 year old son and my 9 year old daughter. They have about 12 different ones (you sometimes get 2-3 chain reaction pieces in one set) If they set them all up, it takes up about 10 feet of floor space. It is kind of like watching dominoes fall. They get a kick out of it for about 30 mins and then they are bored and I have to fight to get them to clean it up. Make sure you store it all together in a plastic rubbermaid tub or something because if you misplace one piece, it will not work, this is the voice of experience, lol.

This is a neat set, as they all are. Love how they all link up and we get to watch the chain reaction as one set sets another one off. My just turned 4 year old son is able to do most of the set up himself and he loves to watch the reactions go down the line when he sets them all up in a row.

I got this toy for my 4+ year old and he was bored in 10 min. Quality of the material is also OK (nothing great). I almost think this toy should go in dollar store (ok, a dollar would be too good a deal). This is likely better for 2-3 year old.
Caveat is my son has not watched Toy story 3, he has repeatedly watched part 1 & 2 and is an ardent fan of Buzz.

My son will be 5 in a month and he loves this toy. He got this and another action link for Christmas. We had fun switching up the order and doing the stunts over and over.

This is a neat little set depicting a scene from the Toy Story movie. The pieces went together easily and seem to stay together. We love the cute little Buzz Lightyear figure that is included in the set.
