Skywarp is kick-ass!Skywarp is one of the best in the animated line along with Sunstorm and Starscream.I like Skywarp the best because of his color combo. He has the most bad-ass paint job of the three.Skywarp has amazing articulation in his futuristic fighter jet mode from the cockpit to the thrusters while still having the classic decepticon symbols on the wings. In robot mode Skywarp has great articulation in the legs, arms, body, and head piece.Skywarp comes with awesome features as well with flip down sonic shock blasters and hidden arm lasers while still having the classic arm cannons with firing missiles. The poseability is outstanding with great stability for creating battle scenes or displaying this gem where you please. The durability is excellent as well with secure joints and a solid build to be able to handle whatever comes his way in robot or jet fighter mode. The transformation level is advanced meaning if you have plenty of experience with transformers there is mid-level difficulty. If you are a a parent buying for a child of 5-6 or younger you will have to help some in the process.Skywarp does have a very versatile transformation for all ages with some practice.Skywarp is one great decepticon that is a great addition for any transformer collection.Bottom line Skywarp is a well-made,high quality,10 out of 10 transformer all fans can enjoy.I highly recommend Skywarp to all transformer fans and collectors out there.Skywarp Rocks and Transformers Rule!!!

I have always been a major fan of Skywarp. The original Skywarp was a black and purple version of Starscream who had the added bonus of teleportation but lacked Starscream's ambition. Animated Skywarp is basically the same, according to his bio. His paint job is attractive and he looks amazing. "Looks" being the key word. His vehicle mode is great, and his null rays don't have to detach from his arms like the original Skywarp's. Transforming him from vehicle to robot is easy enough with the aid of all his automorph gimmicks, but turning him back is like retrieving the golden idol from South America in Raiders of the Lost Ark. The two most vulnerable spots are the head and two panels on his robot mode back which, from my experience, don't even really need to be there. The instructions tell you to separate out these panels in a way that is almost guaranteed to snap them off, but I find he doesn't look much different if you leave these panels alone. Skywarp's most noticeable flaw are the loose joints. Since this mold is used a lot, (Seeker disease, man) it eventually goes through a thing called mold degradation, where as the mold is used more and more often, the more and more recent versions become worse and worse. Loose joints are guaranteed, but which joints are loose varies. On mine, it's the fingers and the right knee's swivel. If you can look past these flaws, however, you actually have a very good toy. As I said, his color scheme is very attractive, he's very posable (even despite his loose joints!) and he's Skywarp. Skywarp is always awesome. If you're a loyal fan of Skywarp and you're above the age of 12, go for it! I saw "Above the age of 12" because the reverse transformation (robot to vehicle) may leave children in tears, or at least quite upset. Bottom line, this is not a toy. It's a collector's item. And a damn good one!
At long last, Skywarp! Jan 25, 2012
By Lex Luthor It took me years to finally add a Seeker to my transformers collection. I had already bought the Starscream from the same line and figured, what the hell, why not add another. Skywarp is simply a repaint of the Starscream toy from the Animated line. So, if you don't want a Starscream copy, don't get him. His transformation is really simple and the little "auto" transform action is kinda cool. The hands are one of the great things about the TF Animated toys. They're actually articulated somewhat. However, the hands are a little delicate, so be careful. Skywarp looks pretty much exactly as he does in the tv show, so kudos to the designers. Overall, this was a great addition to my collection and I would recommend him to anyone TF fan out there.
Excellent Toy! Gets Bad Rap! Nov 12, 2011

Animated Skywarp gets a bad rap but it's actually really nice.
Skywarp's Pros: *He has a very nice head sculpt - exactly like the cartoon character *He's fun to transform *When done correctly he has an automorph feature that transforms most of the robot *When his arm cannons are pulled backwards extra panels pop out of his forearms, which can be difficult to figure out because the panels are nearly invisible when closed - also not shown in the instructions *He has very good articulation *The paint scheme is very nice & is reminiscent of G1 Skywarp *He is quite durable
Skywarp's Cons: *His fingers fall off easily - easily improved/fixed by applying clear nail polish *2 small back panels fall off easily during transformation - are easily reattached *His head pops off during transformation most times - is easily reattached *The thigh swivel can be loose but is easily fixed by applying clear nail polish to ball joint - well worth the effort *With the loose parts (2 back panels & fingers) it's best to store him in jet mode
In my opinion Skywarp is an all around good figure & highly recommended for anyone who loves Transformers Animated or Starscream/Skywarp. I love this figure & the few cons are not a deal breaker for me. They just mean a few moments extra in the transformation time & a little extra care in the process.

loosey goosey Nov 02, 2009
By toiletries This is probably the fifth or sixth toy I've bought from Animated line of transformers....I really wanted to like it, but ended up returning this. The joints of most of the toy are VERY loose, and although the robot and plane modes look very cool, the toy is just shoddily designed, transformation-wise. The leg/hip joints popped out the very first time i transformed him, as well as one of the rear flaps on the plane. There is a small piece on the back of the robot that broke off EVERY time I transformed him.
I also bought Shockwave around the same time as this toy....and the quality of that figure is like night and day to this one. I had read that the starscream version of this jet is also very loose, and it seems like they have not corrected this fault when releasing skywarp.
