5Better than the original!!  Feb 19, 2007 By Matthew J. Mcreynolds "D Nice"
I really love this remake of the classic Ram Jet. My parents bought me the G1 version in 1987 when I was in high school and still into Trans-Formers toys. Even though he wasn't what I really wanted for a Christmas gift( I wanted "Thrust"), I was cool with him. The G1 had issues with the rear wing weight balance, but I just kept him in robot mode. Unfortunately, my brother gave ALL of my transformers away while I was in basic training after high school. I wanted to choke him!

Now, with this classic issue, I love the color scheme. He seems to have a meaner look in his eyes than Starscream, and the cone head deletes the irritating yellow windscreen that can be seen above the head when Starscream is in robot mode. He has a few issues himself, especially the beginning of the wings leading edge restricting the full downward position of the arms and no nose landing gear or opening canopy, but I like this one better than Starscream. In the description it says that you can flip down the landing gear, but I haven't seen any yet. But, it does look like there's a place for it.

I have also ordered the classic version of Skywarp that is normally sold with Ultra Magnus in the "Battle for Autobot City" set. I found it on E-bay with out Magnus. Hopefully, Hasbro will continue with the issue of classics like Thundercracker, Thrust, Sunstorm, and just maybe the other 3 seekers that were seen on the cartoon.

5Best of the deluxe classic set I've come across  Aug 09, 2007 By John B. Connor "dragonsandsuch"
Out of all the new Transformers I have gotten for my kids (and myself), Ramjet not only looks great, but is the sturdiest of the new line that I've come across. Now that Transformers are being made with "break away" appendages to keep them from being "damaged" if forced beyond their limits, I find that most of them simply fall apart too easily. Ramjat, however, holds together nicely.

Just an update. It has been nearly five years since I wrote this review and my son's Ramjet is STILL one of the few in his collection that is still in one piece.

5Great homage to a classic figure  Jul 17, 2007 By J. Busen
I picked this up on a whim in the wake of the recent Transformers movie, along with Deluxe Classic Grimlock. Both are great figures, but this one is far and away my favorite.

Pros:
Ramjet looks fantastic in both robot and jet mode. The jet is very natural looking, and the robot form more closely resembles the cartoon version of Ramjet than the original figure. Unlike the original Seeker figures, none of the components, minus the missle launchers, have to be removed from the toy during transformation, which means fewer missing parts. The joints are pretty solid and the toy balances very well, thanks to the cape-like wings on the legs.

Cons:
There isn't much to complain about. I wish the figure came with fold out landing gear, though he balances just fine in jet mode. There were also a couple of minor paint glitches, but I think those could be easily fixed with model paint if I was so inclined.

Overall, this is a great figure, and a good buy for any fans of the old Seeker toys (or anyone who didn't snag the Deluxe Classic Starscream the first time around).

5A Review on Ramjet  Aug 04, 2007
The Transformers: Classics figure, Ramjet, has a great and easy transformation from jet to robot. The decepticon symbol also changes colors. This figure is an over all great figure.

5Great Remake  Jun 01, 2010 By Michael A. Saxton "Dark Lord of the Sith"
Yes, I admit it. I bought this for me. I wish they had made the seeker jet Decepticons like this when I was a kid. It's pose-able, it's durable, and it looks far more like the cartoon character than the original release. If you're a fan of G1 Transformers yourself or you want to get one for your kid, I'd highly recommend it.
