| | Description | Ironhide is a Transformer for the modern era, changing from a robot into an ever-so-contemporary SUV. He's decked out in reds and blues, maintaining much the same look as he goes from one state to the next. A puzzling touch on Ironhide is a set of massive red turbine-looking things that add little to either his functionality or his appearance in either robot or SUV mode. We found Ironhide to be highly convincing as an SUV, looking like any other realistic car model. And while it's not really possible to be a realistic giant robot that defends the earth, he maintains much of his car appearance in his robot state. Ironhide is equipped with one spring-loaded missile. --Charlie Williams | |

Transformers Energon: Ironhide Dec 07, 2003
By Daniel J. Sanzari From the new Transformers: Energon toyline comes the heroic Ironhide! Featuring electronic sounds and projectile launching accessories, Ironhide transforms from a blue SUV to mighty robot and back! In addition to these features, Ironhide can combine with the Autobot Jetfire (or other Transformers in the same size class) to form a larger, more powerful robot: Powerlinx Ironhide! Large, well-articulated, and bristling with accessories, Ironhide's playability is undeniable. A great toy, and a definite must-buy for children and collectors alike!

Ironhide Aug 01, 2004 Ironhide is about 9 inches tall and 2inches wide.Cool modes and easy transformations. He can powerlinx with Jetfire.Ironhides head is exposed in vehicle mode. You might not beleive me but he can powerlinx with Hotshot,Inferno,Prowl. But it doesen't make sense if Ironhide is the top.

When i got home, i went up to my room to get jetfire the instint i got out o fthe car. i first made powerlinx jetfire and it was great! then i made powerlinx ironhide and i noticed somting he couldnt stan up strait! so i would say this is a really good toy and i recomend it.

Ironhide, how doth I despise thee? Jun 21, 2004 Well I normally talk about what's good about each figure and my gripes, but this guy... is he really worth the effort? I bought him because there were tons of them at the toys R us I went to and no Jetfire and I didn't think anything of it and bought him anyway. I was going to buy him anyway but after Jetfire, who I wanted first(read my review on Jetfire) but I got him first because it didn't make any sense not to. For a long time I din't have much of a problem. When I got Jetfire I had to PL them because thats Energon's gimmick telling you there's no point in having two figure if you dont(well I actually had five or so at this point but when you powerlinx him with a deluxe he'll just look like a gorilla or a guy with big legs) so I began to expiriment with it and found out that Powerlinx Ironhide's cylindricalness and inability to stand up wasn't going to cut it for me. Powerlinx Jetfire was then I realized the superior of the two. He was great, he was good, he could stand. I have Jetfire, Ironhide, Hot Shot, Inferno, Rodimus, and Prowl (and others) and my favorite combinations are PL Jetfire PL Hot Shot and PL Prowl. Well, I guess you want to know what I have against the real figure of Ironhide One day I was lying on the couch and I had Jetfire and Ironhide with me and during a commercial I decide to turn them into good ol' PL Jetfire so I turned Jetfire into his upper body mode and was changing Ironhide when something went horribley wrong... I was flipping one of Ironhide's black flaps (you know the one that acts as the back of his foot) and it snapped right off. The black flap is attached to tis part of IH's leg that is a little cylinder so the flap can flip around when you transform it. Well the flap is sort of cylindrically shaped on one side so it fits on that part of his leg. Well it's sort of a small cylinder with a big cylinder with a hole in it, you se how they would go together, and the big cylinder can twirl around the small one. Well the big cylinder sort of snapped in two, When I did I was all panicked-like and I was like Oh my god I broke it! So I went through my whole house lookiung for some super glue or something and couldn't find any so I had to tape it by cutting some electric tape and shaping it on one side of the cylinder. I haven't found any super glue so it's still like that and every time I transform it and it fall of I get madder and madder at it. I guess if I want to tell you anything it's that you should really watch it with mega figeres in the Energon line, the plastic they're made out is really cheap and breaks easy. Tah!

Ironhide Dec 23, 2003
By M. V. The size, colors, and sounds are all great but as soon as we opened the box his door fell off and continues to fall off everytime we touch it. I hope the rest of the energon toys are not this flimsy. We just bought Armada Tidal Wave and he is sturdy and awesom for a 4 1/2 year old to play with. My son transforms all the guys with no directions.
